Since February 19, 2009, the Journal of Tropical Meteorology (JTM) has been indexed and abstracted in the Science Citation Index Expanded Edition for 11 consecutive years. By the end of 2019, only four academic journals of atmospheric sciences from the Chinese mainland have been indexed in the Science Citation Index Expanded, and JTM is one of them.

《热带气象学报》（英文版）自2009年2月19日至今，已连续被美国科学引文索引网络版（Science Citation Index Expanded）收录11年。据了解，截至2019年底，在中国大陆地区大气科学类期刊中，仅有4种被美国科学引文索引网络版收录，本刊是其中之一。
